Hi!
How do you think that we have to see the Old Calendarists? (I mean those who are in Schism, like the Genuine Orthodox Church of Greece, not Churches like the Russian that uses the old calendar, however she's in communion with the Ecumenical Patriarchate)
I think this is not the Churches official stance, but personally I don't see them as in error. I think that the schism will be solved, God's willing. As soon as an Orthodox Church follows the Orthodox doctrines, has the same traditions etc I see them as Orthodox.
In conclusion: I could never brake my communion with the Ecumenical Patriarchate, however I can't judge them for disagreeing with the change of the calendar.
Any thoughts on this?

This is really interesting! I've got friends who use the Old Calendar but they aren't in schism. God willing the schism will be healed, especially as it seems to be over dates rather than the faith but then again, they still broke off communion from the Church. Hopefully it will be healed.
I read something really interesting the other day about a monk who went from Old Calendarist to the New Calendar...if I can find it I will post a link to it. =)

I think that groups like the true Orthodox, Genuine Orthodox and Synod in Exile (I think they're in Schism) are just stauch and stubborn. it is like the Esphigmenou Monastery, which I believe are also still out of communion with the EP.
I do not see anything wrong with them as Orthodox groups but feel that their attitude towards others makes them questionable in their mentality. If they do not have the intention to be "One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church" and lack the catholicity of being in communion with the Church then they should not be part of it.
