Saint Nektarios from Aegina, Metropolitan of Pentapolis in Egypt and great Wonderworker.
I read his life, and I saw how meek and gentle he was... Unbelieveable. And a part of his relics are at the monastery where the Theological Seminary I graduated is located. And because every time I went to Aegina and prayed at his relics, I cried.

So, so many..
Saint Dismas the Good Thief. - I see us all as thieves when we see the gift we receive compared to the price we pay. His is a model for repentance and the reading of his interaction with Christ, which we read on Holy Friday, always leaves me silent.
Saint Moses the Black- Another beautiful demonstration of repentance. His willingness to receive the crown of martyrdom at the end of his life also reminds me that we should be willing to take whatever God gives, whether it leads to life or bodily death, as it will always be to his will. Also, my home Parish is the Parish of St Moses the Black.
Saint Samuel the Confessor - (Sorry EO) His strict adherence to the teachings of the fathers and refusal to accept any alteration to it, even under immense torture and persecution by El-Moquakas (who became Greek Alexandrian Patriarch but was later deposed for heresy himself) reminds me to be steadfast in my faith and not surrender it for fear of my own comfort or safety.

I personally would propably say Saint John of Kronstadt, Saint Matrona the Blind, Saint Nektarios the Wonderworker, Saint Seraphim of Sarov.
All of them were inspiring personalities for our life in Christ and excellent examples for all the Christians.

St. Mary of Paris: I find her life completely admirable.
St. Mary of Paris: Again, the story of her repentance is truly wonderful and I find how she sought out the Lord in such an intense way to be inspirational.
St. James the brother of John: He is my patron Saint and I love how he forgave the one who got him executed.
Of course, I also would say the Blessed Ever Virgin Mary. She has interceded for me before and helped against the demonic that was in my house.

St. Gregory Palamas for his defense of hesychasm and theosis. St. John of Damascus for his defense of our holy icons. And of course, St. Mary, the Holy Theotokos, for the legions of hell shudder at the mere mention of her name.

I'd have to say that my favourite saint is St. John the Apostle/Theologian. In my eyes, he is by far one of the most under-rated, and underexposed Saints/Apostles.
He was referred to the disciple whom Jesus loved (though he loved them all, there seems to be some special attribution to St. John in my eyes). Whenever I need to fight a certain heresy, I always find myself going back to the Gospel of St. John. He was also the only Apostle who did not flee and abandon Christ at Calvary, but rather, stayed there with Mary, and was to take care of her.
He and St. Peter went through their rough times together. They were both thrown into jail together, and St. John took a prominent part in starting the church and fighting against heresies.
He is the patron of love, loyalty, friendship, theologians, scholars, scribes, authors, booksellers, and some others.
Oh and,
“But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. 54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” Luke 9:53
Need I say more?

I just love St. John the Apostle, as all the Apostles, that have a special place in my heart.
Also, I would like to mention Saint Spyridon, Saint Constantine and Helen, and Saint Paraskevi, the protector of the eyes.

It's so hard to decide on favorite saints! I really love them all and like learning about new ones each day. However, there are some saints to which I feel especially close.
I really like the Holy Royal Martyrs of Russia because I've always felt close to them, even when I was a child and read stories of their life and martyrdom from History books.
I like St. Matrona of Moscow a lot because her hidden life of sanctity in the midst of godlessness is an inspiration to me in living the Faith in an atmosphere where both the Church and the general remembrance of God is so neglected.
I also like St. Michael the Archangel because he will be my patron saint when I'm received into the Church. Also, like St. Michael the Archangel, I desire to defend the Orthodox Faith at all times.
And, most of all, I really love Our Most Holy Theotokos. This love can hardly be expressed in words, but one of the reasons I feel so close to her is because of her help to me when I was struggling with illness.
