I am timotheos! I am a Canadian university student/teaching assistant in my early 20's. I've recently come to discover the Orthodoxy, and I look forward to growing in faith with my brothers and sisters across the world. I attend services at the OCA.

Thank you, orthodoxbrit and Andrei! This forum, I think, shall be a good place in which to converse with fellow Orthodox on spiritual issues (I am working in a different community for a few months, and there are no Orthodox parishes for a long way in any direction).
I am relatively new to the faith (though I do have a Christian background), and I am excited to learn from everyone. I am eager to state my thoughts, but I am not belligerent, and am happy to be corrected in the case that any of my assertions are incorrect. This forum is full of wonderful and insightful people, and I look forward to our future discussions.

Hello everyone!
I'm Shane, and I'm the digitalpapist from tumblr; some of you I have interacted with before on that site. I'm 20 years old and in college (though I'm taking off this semester). I saw OrthodoxBrit canvasing support for this forum on tumblr, and asked him if I could join...and here I am.
As can be seen from my name, I'm Catholic, and firmly so. I have a great love of Eastern Christianity, most expressed in the love I have for the Cappadocian Fathers. My avatar is an icon of St. Gregory of Nyssa, who I have a special closeness to.
I look forward to having an outsiders view of Orthodoxy, and to enjoy the resulting dialogue.
